DESCENT
A descent can be defined as a decline or downward slope. Deep emotional loss or grief transforms the incline into a precipitous spiral. Descent is a six-part installation which references geologic terms to suggest the relationship between the matter and mind.
The light and dark patterns
across the figurative works of DESCENT reflect the micro-movements
of blood, breath or muscle tension from within the body captured
by two laser exposures one millionth of a second apart. |
