Entangled Attraction was inspired by chaos and our need to find patterns and connections for stability. Looking up, the orbiting lights leave traces in the air followed by color filament filling the space above. Cameras can not capture these traces, but our eye and brain see them through persistence of vision and create a sense of suspension between light and sound. Original Soundscape by Jonathan Crawford.

Presented by Immersive Arts Alliance. Oakland, CA, July 15-24, 2022

An immersive environment inspired by the turbulence of chaos, “Convergence of Unruly Outcomes” presents the viewer with trails of light in motion, revealing the unpredictable patterns that emerge as the eye captures traces of light sweeping through the air. Features four light installations:

Entangled Orbits and Stars – rotating spirals and dotted trails of white light

Out-of-Bounds – double pendulum of sweeping blue light

Cosmic Encounter – cosmic ray detector random events from near and remote cosmic sources

Raylights – sound activated patterns and color lighting

Presenting our installation at the 2022 Oakland Immersive Arts Festival. Inspired by the turbulence of chaos, our installation presents the viewer with trails of light in motion, revealing the unpredictable.
